Roanoke, VA - Roanoke Police are investigating an aggravated assault that happened Monday morning.
Police say a man was shot 4:20 a.m. on the 900 block of 9th street.
They say the victim is Brandon Mitchell. Mitchell says he and a friend were walking in the alley when a guy approached them with a gun.
He told police that the man took money shot him in the hand and ran off.
