Wednesday is Halloween, and there are some fun events for the kids going on.
In Lynchburg, Amazement Square is hosting the Professor Shockley's Bugs & Hisses Ball from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Kids can check out cool science experiments, get tasty treats and take part in the costume contest.
Of course Halloween means trick or treating! Martinsville Uptown has trick or treating for kids in costume. Dozens of businesses will take part, and that's 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kids can also come out for Halloween in downtown Vinton! More than 40 businesses downtown will be handing out goodies to trick or treaters. That's 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
For something NOT Halloween related—this weekend a popular southern blues rocker will be at the Ellington. Tinsley Ellis has recorded more than 11 albums and has done thousands of live performances. He'll be on stage Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in Lynchburg. These tickets will sell out fast—so buy them in advance here.
