Arron Messer
Nelson Co., VA - The former manager of the Rockfish Community Center has admitted to stealing $2,500 from the organization.
Arron Messer pleaded guilty on Tuesday to three counts of forging a check and embezzlement.
According to a news release from the Nelson County Commonwealth's Attorney, he wrote three checks to himself, forged the treasurer's name on them and cashed them at a local bank.
Investigators say a year ago, Messer received a five year suspended prison sentence for an unrelated embezzlement charge in Hanover County.
He's scheduled to be sentenced in Nelson County in January.
