Bedford, VA – Mount Olivet Southern Baptist Church is using its Trunk-or-Treat event Wednesday night to help the victims of Superstorm Sandy.
It's a safe way for kids to dress up and be assured to gets lots of candy – but more importantly to donate to God's Pit Crew.
The event starts at 6 p.m. on Halloween at 2933 Mount Olivet Rd, Bedford, VA 24523. It's right off of Hwy 122 south on Joppa Mill Road (follow the signs.)
They are accepting monetary donations and different items. Here is a list of what they are including in each bucket:
Food
3 Bottles of water
2 cans of ready to eat food with pop-top ex: Raviolli, Treet
(Please be sure these have a long expiration dates)
1 pack of nabs
Utensils/Napkin pack
Personal Grooming Items
2 Toothbrushes wrapped
Toothpaste
Deodorant
Shampoo - thin bottle
Soap individually wrapped
Comb - wrapped
Razor - wrapped
Bath towel - not thick
2 Wash Cloths
Misc. Items
Flashlight with extra Batteries
Roll of Toilet Paper individually wrapped
Paper Towels Thin individually wrapped
Small Container Disposable Cleaning Wipes (like Clorox or Lysol)
Alcohol
Peroxide
Bible
