Lynchburg - Today's high school Team of the Week is the E.C. Glass boys cross country team. The Hilltoppers won the Seminole District championship last Wednesday, edging perennial champ Jefferson Forest by just four points. The victory ended JF's 17-year streak as Seminole kingpin. Now the Hilltoppers try and follow up their district title with a strong showing in the Region 3 meet Thursday in Harrisonburg.
Collin Montgomery, E.C. GLASS SENIOR RUNNER, said "We have to run stronger than we did at districts if we're gonna try and get the region championship. But we have a good shot."
Sam Bradford, E.C. GLASS SENIOR RUNNER, said "Glass has only won one region championship in cross country so this would be the second. It would be more history for this season. I hope we do, I hope we win."
