Roanoke Co., VA - Governor Romney rallied Thursday at Marvin Window and Doors. It's a family-run business that takes great pride in its employees, and even Governor Romney took notice.

Once he took the stage, Romney put his host Marvin Windows and Doors in the spotlight.

"During a time when the housing market was in such distress, for them to be able to maintain their business and maintain their employee base is an extraordinary thing," said Romney.

Marvin Windows and Doors President Susan Marvin is a big reason for that. In 2007, the recession put a chokehold on her business. Production plummeted 70%. Still, the Marvin family made a promise to its employees.

"We sat down as a family and we made a commitment to do whatever we could to keep everybody employed and with full health care benefits," said Marvin.

Several recognized Marvin's sacrifice: trimming salaries and cutting hours, all to keep workers on the factory floor. For Marvin, the sacrificing isn't over.

"We have a long way to go before we can call this a recovery, and it feels so fragile. It feels like just one thing could unravel the entire industry again," said Marvin.

Outside the rally, President Obama supporters rally, and present a different view of the economy.

"We've created over 4.6 million new jobs in the economy in this country, and we're on a trajectory over the next four years to create 12 million more," said Dick Cranwell, chair, Democratic Party.

Romney also pledges to create 12 million new jobs. The question: Who do you believe? America's answer comes this Tuesday.

President Obama has also recognized Marvin Windows and Doors for not letting go of any employees. Even during the Great Depression, Marvin workers stayed employed.
