Pittsylvania Co., VA - A Gretna man charged with stabbing a security guard will have his day in court again after his trial ended in a hung jury.
Byron Clements, 48, was in Pittsylvania County Circuit Court last week facing one count of malicious wounding after authorities say he attacked a security guard at a Social Security office with a knife last year.
The jury deliberated for about two and a half hours but was unable to agree on a verdict.
Clements' defense attorney argued that his client has struggled with schizophrenia.
The date for a new trial has not been set.
