Lynchburg - Number 8 in the country Stony Brook plays at Liberty this Saturday.
It's a huge game for both teams. 9-and-1 Stony Brook can clinch its second straight outright Big South title and automatic bid to the playoffs with a win.
It's tougher for Liberty. The Flames must beat the Seawolves Saturday and VMI next week AND have Coastal Carolina lose one of its two final games to Presbyterian or Charleston Southern for LU to win the Big South. Saturday is the final home game for LU's seniors, a great chance to end their home careers with a bang.
Aaron Lundy, FLAMES SENIOR GUARD (CHILHOWIE) said "Lot of people, it'll be a good time, sad at the same time. I talked to my mom the other night and she's like 'this is the last time we'll ever be together' and I just told her mom enjoy the moment, you know. I told her you get to walk out in front of 20 thousand people. I said you know that's gonna be a good opportunity for her."
Brent Vinson, FLAMES SENIOR DEF. BACK (CHARLOTTE), said "You know I mean they look really good on film so I'm excited because you want to play against the best. I'm a competitor and that's what we like to do."
Pat Kelly, FLAMES SENIOR WIDE RECEIVER (L.C.A.), said "Seems like just yesterday I was a freshman coming in and a little before that it was just yesterday I was a freshman in high school playing on this field. So there certainly has been a lot of memories and a lot of bonds with my teammates that have been formed that I certainly will never forget."
