Softball Fundraiser for Teen Who Needs Heart Transplant

Danville, VA-- There will be a fundraiser on Saturday in Danville for a 14-year-old boy who needs a heart transplant.

Jake Lee's family found out his condition early last month, and he has been in Duke Hospital ever since. There will be a softball fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the baseball field on the Averett University North Campus.

The Danville Sheriff's office will be playing, as well as Jake's former baseball team.

Tickets are $5 to get in and parking is $2. There will also be T-shirts and wristbands for sale.

All the proceeds will go toward Jake's medical bills.
