Roanoke, VA - Officials say that both runways are now open at Roanoke Regional Airport, following a small plane crash Tuesday morning.

Roanoke, VA - Officials say one runway is now open at Roanoke Regional Airport after a small plane crashed there Tuesday morning.

Airport officials say one plane was diverted to Lynchburg due to low fuel.

ROANOKE, Va. (AP) -- A twin-engine plane crashed at Roanoke Regional Airport after its landing gear malfunctioned.

Airport spokeswoman Sherry Wallace says none of the four people aboard the private King Air was injured.

Wallace tells media outlets that the landing gear collapsed as the plane touched down Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at an intersection of the airport's two runways. Both runways are closed while the airplane is removed.
