Martinsville to Demolish Over a Dozen Old Buildings

Martinsville, VA - There will be a lot of demolition work underway in Martinsville over the next seven months.

More than a dozen structures are slated to be torn down by the end of the city's fiscal year.

Six of the buildings will be torn down by their owners - the city will tear down seven more, including a former pool.

The city's fiscal year ends in June.

City council took a tour of the south side of the city Monday and got to see several of the structures that will be coming down.
