
Lynchburg - The Lynchburg College women opened a 16-point second-half lead only to lose it all, but the Hornets pulled out a 74-71 win over visiting Randolph-Macon College Tuesday night.
Sophomore Shannon Allan led LC with a double-double, 21 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Chaney Forbush had 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Hornets, who even their record at 2-2 with the victory. Sammi Goldsmith added 12 points, Shea Kelley 11 for the Hornets.
Freshman Katie Anderson led Randolph-Macon with 24 points, Sarah Parsons added 15. The Yellow Jackets fall to 0-4 with the loss. Lynchburg had a big rebounding edge for the game, 54-35 over Macon.
