Lynchburg - The Liberty Flames, Big South Volleyball Tournament champions for the second straight year, travel to Minneapolis to battle national number 8 seed Minnesota Friday night at 7:30 Eastern.  The Flames take a 25-and-7 overall record into the national tourney, Minnesota is 24-and-7.

Liberty is playing well of late, the Flames have won their last 10 matches.  LU has won 25 matches in a season for the fourth time in six years, they've captured the Big South Tournament championship four out of the last six seasons.

Shane Pinder, LIBERTY FLAMES HEAD COACH, said "On paper, it doesn't match up, size-wise and all that it's not a match obviously we should win.  But we've got a pretty good group, they're gonna go in there, they're not gonna back down.  They're gonna play hard and hopefully they're going to make them earn points."

Caroline Douglas, R-FRESHMAN OUTSIDE HITTER/MIDDLE BLOCKER, said "Obviously they're 8th in the country and we're not.  So it's the fact that I mean we know they're gonna go in there just thinking that they're going to completely kill us.  And what we have to do is go in there not trying not to lose but trying to win like trying to force our will upon them and trying to let them know that we're not just some little team from Lynchburg, Virginia.  We're coming in there to do some work."
