You've likely heard of the Salvation Army Angel Tree helping out kids in need each year.
A local rescue group is hoping to do the same for needy four-legged friends.
They have put up a "Furry Angel Tree" at The Dog Dish, located in the Farm Shopping Center at 51st and Sheridan.
The tree features dogs from shelters and foster homes that need some items for the holidays.
Each tag has the dog's picture and a list of their needs.
"It's just giving items to dogs for the holidays. It doesn't have to be a big thing," says the Dog Dish owner Emily Langdon. "It can be food or a blanket or a collar or you can adopt a dog. It's a way for people to find homes for animals that need them."
Many listed leashes, bowls, crates, treats and shampoos.
You can also donate items at the store for the rest of the year.
