Group Faces Felony Charges in Montgomery Co. for Running Meth Lab


Montgomery Co., VA - Five people are in custody in Montgomery County after investigators say they ran a meth lab with two children present.

David Mitchem, 25, Ricky Joyce, 39, Brian J. Smith, 29, Rebecca Farley, 28, and Tosha Farley, 25, are all facing multiple charges.

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office has not released a mug shot of Tosha Farley.

Officials made the arrests after raiding an apartment on Republic Road. They arrested the five on a total of 31 felony charges including manufacturing of methamphetamine, felony child endangerment, manufacturing of methamphetamine with a child present, possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth precursors and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and possess meth precursors.

They say a 7-year-old and 9-year-old were found in the apartment. The children are now with the Department of Social Services.

Officials are investigating.
