Lynchburg - The Randolph men shot 55 percent for the game and knocked down ten 3-pointers en route to a 78-59 win over in-state rival Ferrum.

The WildCats are off to their best start in program history at 7-and-0.  Colton Hunt poured in a game-high 35 points to lead the way for the WildCats.  Mike Ehilegbu added 12 for Randolph, Chris Battaglia chipped in 11.  JD Wallace led Ferrum with 25 points, Lamont King added 12 as the Panthers drop to 4-3 on the season.

The key stretch of the game for Randolph came in the final seven-and-a-half minutes of the first half.  The Wildcats went 9-for-9 from the field, including six 3's.  They outscored Ferrum 28-7 to erase a one-point deficit, Randolph stormed into the half with a 20-point lead, 49-29.

Ferrum pulled within 12, but that's as close as the Panthers got as Randolph stays unbeaten on the season.

Clay Nunley, RANDOLPH HEAD COACH, said "We have a long way to go like every team this time of year.  And the big thing for our guys to understand is we've got to continue to be hungry, continue to be humble, continue to realize that gosh we've got a lot of growth that we still have to do.  But we're getting contributions across the board, getting everybody on board doing the right things and that's got to continue to be a staple of who we are."

Colton Hunt, 35 POINTS, 5 REBS., 4 STEALS, said "You know ultimately we did a great job of letting our defense feed our offense.  We were able to get a lot of stops and string stops together.  And because of that, we were able to get back and get good looks on the other end."
