
Lynchburg - The Randolph men shot 55 percent for the game and knocked down ten 3-pointers en route to a 78-59 win over in-state rival Ferrum.
The WildCats are off to their best start in program history at 7-and-0. Colton Hunt poured in a game-high 35 points to lead the way for the WildCats. Mike Ehilegbu added 12 for Randolph, Chris Battaglia chipped in 11. JD Wallace led Ferrum with 25 points, Lamont King added 12 as the Panthers drop to 4-3 on the season.
The key stretch of the game for Randolph came in the final seven-and-a-half minutes of the first half. The Wildcats went 9-for-9 from the field, including six 3's. They outscored Ferrum 28-7 to erase a one-point deficit, Randolph stormed into the half with a 20-point lead, 49-29.
Ferrum pulled within 12, but that's as close as the Panthers got as Randolph stays unbeaten on the season.
