Botetourt Co., VA - Route 460 in Blue Ridge has been reduced to one lane in each direction after a truck carrying logs overturned Wednesday afternoon.
Officials say it will be a couple of hours before the scene is cleared, and there is already a 2-mile backup on the eastbound lane.
The accident happened at the entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway near the intersection of Blue Ridge Boulevard and Heritage Rd.
The truck driver, DJ Mann, works for Mann Logging Company out of Campbell County.
Mann says he was on his way to Covington from Altavista hauling pulp wood. He says he was driving down Route 460 when he saw some cars in front of him suddenly came to a stop. He says he swerved toward the median to avoid hitting the car in front of him, causing his truck to tip over.
Officials say one lane in each direction are open. Blue Ridge Fire and Rescue and State Police are on the scene.
No one was hurt.
