Lynchburg, VA - The veterans who meet weekly at Lynchburg's Monument Terrace prepared a special holiday greeting for our troops Friday.

They snapped a couple photos at Monument Terrace. It's become tradition to email and Facebook the photos to our troops overseas.

Organizer Steve Bozeman says Christmas is a special holiday for all our troops. Like any one of us, they want to be home with family for the season.

"Being away from home is tough. And even though you're a hardcore sailor, marine, soldier or air forceman, you still want to be home with your family," said Bozeman.

Bozeman served in Vietnam. ABC 13 highlighted his service in our Heroes from the Heart of Virginia series this December.
