Roanoke Police Investigating Weekend Shooting

Roanoke, VA- The Roanoke Police Department is trying to figure out who shot a man Friday Night in Southwest Roanoke.

Police say the shooting occurred around 11:27 p.m. at a home in the 1000 block of First Street, SW.

Charles Hancock Draper, 30, of Roanoke was allegedly shot multiple times.

Officers didn't find the victim at the scene of the crime, though. Instead, police say Draper had already been attended to at an acquaintance's home, and was then driven to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in a personal car.

No arrests have been made as of Saturday Night and officers are investigating to determine what may have caused the shooting.
