Former Roanoke Firefighter Charged With Rape

Roanoke Co., VA - Roanoke County police have charged a former Roanoke firefighter with several charges related to the suspected sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl.

Roland Lee Reynolds, 33, was detained by police December 2 as officers were responding to an assault call.

Reynolds, who matched the suspect description, was stopped on a road walking away from the scene.

Reynolds face two misdemeanors and five felonies related to the case - including rape.

An investigator says Reynolds is aquatinted with the girl.

Reynolds last worked for the Roanoke City Fire Department in March.
