E.W. GrubbsBedford Co., VA - Former Bedford County SRO E.W. Grubbs will not serve any more jail time after pleading guilty in court Friday.
A judge sentenced Grubbs to 10 years with all but 13 months suspended for five counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor. Grubbs has already served 13 months, so he will be released Friday.
Grubbs will have to register as a sex offender and will be on supervised probation for five years.
Grubbs was arrested after having a relationship with a teenage girl, and running off with her to Kentucky.
The family of the victim was not pleased with today's decision. We'll have reaction from them on ABC 13 News at 6:00.
