Two Dogs Rescued from Danville House Fire


Danville, VA - Danville Fire Officials say crews saved two dogs from a fire Thursday night, even giving one of them CPR.

They responded to the fire on Third Avenue about 7:30 p.m. and found heavy fire and smoke coming from the home's basement window. 

Firefighters pulled the two dogs from the fire.  When they discovered one wasn't breathing, they did CPR and the dog survived.

Officials say the home has heavy fire damage. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
