Danville, VA - A nonprofit health care organization has brought a portion of an AIDS quilt to Danville.
PATHS CHAAP Services works with patients who have been diagnosed with AIDS, and they'll be presenting the quilt tomorrow.
The event starts at 3 p.m. at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History.
There will be guest speakers discussing the history of the quilt and why they brought it to Danville. They'll also have information about living with HIV.
The organizer says the quilt is a tribute to those who have lost their lives from AIDS.
"And it's an inspiration for people who are infected know to know that you matter to people and they matter to us," said Carol Napier with PATHS CHAAP services.
If you can't make it out the event, the quilt will be available for public viewing at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History for the rest of the month.
