Lynchburg Salvation Army Wants New Home for Thrift Store

Posted:

Lynchburg, VA - The Salvation Army family store in Lynchburg is on a mission for a new home.

Captain Donald Dohmann says the current thrift store and old church, is "very limited." Customers are forced to go up and down stairs and in and out of small, cramped rooms to browse the goods, which is especially difficult on the elderly and handicapped.

This store is vital to providing the care the Salvation Army is recognized for.

"The family store, they exist solely to generate income to support and help support the Center of Hope," said Capt. Dohmann.

Center of Hope houses homeless men, women and kids. If you have a 7,000 - 9,000 square foot space in a high traffic area in mind, the Salvation Army would love to know.
