UVa Loses New Assistant Football Coach to SEC

Charlottesville -  UVa's new running backs coach and special teams coordinator is leaving the Cavaliers after being hired just last week.

Jeff Banks will be named associate head coach at Texas A&M where he'll join head coach and friend Kevin Sumlin.  Banks said it was difficult to leave, but ultimately the chance to coach in the SEC with a friend was too hard to pass up.

UVa head coach Mike London said the Cavs had considerable interest in the position from a number of quality coaches, and now the task is to find an individual to help the Cavs reach their goals and improve as a football program.
