Roanoke Police Looking for Person Who Robbed Pizza Delivery Driver

Roanoke, VA - The Roanoke City Police Department is looking for who they say robbed a pizza delivery driver Monday afternoon.

Officers responded at 2:58 p.m. to the first block of Williamson Road. Upon arrival they located the 50 year old male that said he drove to the 2600 block of Forest Hill Avenue to deliver a pizza.

After arriving in that area he was approached by a male who brandished a firearm and demanded money. The victim stated that the suspect physically assaulted him and took an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect then fled, traveling south on Forest Hill Avenue.

The victim drove to Williamson Road where police were called.

No shots were fired by the suspect.

The victim was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the assault.

No arrests have been made at this time.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately five feet nine inches in height and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He is described as having short hair, a black sweat shirt, black ski mask, dark pants and dark shoes.
