Roanoke Police Investigate 7-11 Robbery

Roanoke, VA- The Roanoke Police Department is investigating a business robbery that occurred on last Saturday at the 7-11 on Bennington Street.

Officers responded at 4:14 a.m. to the 2100 block of Bennington Street early Saturday. When they arrived, they talked to a store clerk who said that the suspect entered the business, brandished a firearm and demanded money.

The suspect then took an undisclosed amount of money and fled.

No one was hurt and no arrests have been made.

The suspect is described as a black male with a light complexion. He is described as being in his 20's, and approximately five feet 11 inches in height with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a dark blue handkerchief over the lower half of his face.
