Police Investigate Stabbing in Roanoke, Man Arrested

Roanoke, VA – Officials arrested and charged a man they say stabbed a family member in Roanoke Tuesday night.

Officials from the Roanoke Police Department arrested and charged Richard Darnell Lewis, 61, with malicious wounding.

They say Lewis stabbed a 47-year-old man during a dispute inside a home in the 1600 block of Chapman Avenue. Police say the two men are family members.

The victim was taken to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
