Former Hillcat Nick Ahmed Part of Braves Trade for Upton

Hillcats shortstop Nick Ahmed, the MVP of last season's Carolina League Championship series, has been traded to Arizona as part of the seven-player deal that brings outfielder Justin Upton to the Atlanta Braves.

Ahmed, along with former Hillcats pitcher Zeke Spruill, one-time Danville Braves infielder Brandon Drury, Martin (Mar-TEEN) Prado and pitcher Randall Delgado, head to Arizona. The Braves get Upton, who joins brother B.J. in the Atlanta outfield and infielder Chris Johnson.
