Richmond, VA- A bill that would lead to the end the state's moratorium on uranium mining has been withdrawn.
Senator John Watkins is behind this bill, which could still be introduced at a later time.
A large crowd was expected at the Senate committee hearing Thursday, and it was supposed to be tense since opponents and some members of the committee say a strong majority of the group opposes the bill.
Another Senate bill regarding taxes and revenue from uranium mining is still set to be heard Thursday afternoon.
