On March 28, 2007, I had taken my girlfriend, Jessica to Orlando, Fl. We had decided to go to Discovery Cove where you have the chance to swim with dolphins.
Prior to the trip, I contacted Discovery Cove to find a way to propose. The one described to me entailed having a dolphin actually do the proposal in front of all the other guests.
When we got there, I was advised where the restrooms were, which was the signal to pass off the engagement ring and they would go and prepare a private cabana for us. At this point Jessica and I continued on to the safety briefing for the dolphin swim.
Our dolphin's name was Capricorn. At the end of the swim, the trainers had asked if anyone would like to participate in working with Capricorn to learn a new trick. Everyone raised their hands but it was already planned that Jessica would be chosen.
The trainers demonstrated to Jessica what hand-signal they wanted her to give. When Jessica gave the signal, Capricorn dove under the water and swam off. Capricorn returned with a small boat buoy in his mouth and gave it to Jessica. They asked Jessica to read what was on the buoy which was, "Will You Marry Me Jessica!"
