Richmond - Former Liberty Flames football coach Danny Rocco has agreed to a contract extension through the 2017 season with the Richmond Spiders.
In his first season at Richmond, Rocco guided the Spiders to an 8-and-3 record, 6-and-2 in the Colonial Athletic Association. Richmond shared the league championship after being picked to finish ninth out of 11 teams in the league's preseason poll. The Spiders went 0-and-8 in the Colonial the year before Rocco came aboard.
