Man Dies at Tulsa Hospital After Wreck on Riverside
A 67-year-old man is dead Wednesday afternoon after a heart attack caused him to crash into a barrier on Riverside.
It happened around 6 a.m. when police responded to the 71st and Riverside bridge where a gray van had collided into the barrier.
An officer at the scene told KTUL.com that the man, Jimmie Weaver, tried to steer the vehicle to the side of the road after he began to have a heart attack. He lost control of the vehicle causing the collision.
Tulsa Police Department's Leland Ashley said that Weaver was transported to a Tulsa area hospital where we was pronounced dead this afternoon.
The man was with wife during the wreck this morning.
