Officials Evacuate Roanoke Courthouse After Bomb Threat

Roanoke, VA – Officials evacuated the Roanoke courthouse for a couple of hours Thursday morning after they received a bomb threat.

Police say they searched the building and used K-9 units, but no explosive devices were found.

It was reopened later Thursday afternoon.

The Red Cross provided people with drinks and a place to stay when the courthouse was closed.
