Snow Piles Up Fast in Roanoke, Blacksburg; Rain/Sleet Elsewhere

Bedford Co., VA - State Police say a VDOT snowplow overturned in Bedford County Friday morning, and the driver ended up at the hospital.

Troopers say at about 5:30 a.m., the plow overturned on Goodview Road near Carroll Road.

They say the driver was trying to clear snow from the shoulder of the road when his truck went over a short embankment and flipped over.

The truck spilled salt into a resident's yard.

State Police say the driver was taken to Bedford Memorial Hospital for a minor injury.
