Lynchburg - E.C. Glass' James Jones signed his name on a full scholarship Friday afternoon, he's heading to Norfolk State to play football.
Jones played defensive tackle and end for the Hilltoppers, Norfolk State likes him at the d-tackle spot. He was a Seminole District First-Team pick this past season, Jones' uncle is former Glass and Virginia Tech star Andre Kendrick.
James Jones, SIGNS WITH NORFOLK STATE, said "It was a big dream, I watched my uncle do it. He loved it and I loved the atmosphere of college football and I knew that I always wanted to be a part of it. It's a bunch of excitement and nervousness. This is the first time something like this has ever happened to me so I don't really know how to take it."
