Henry Co. Officials Charge Man for Breaking Into Authority Building
Henry Co., VA – Officials in Henry County have arrested a man they say broke into the Public Service Authority building in Bassett multiple times and stole two trucks.
Deputies from the Henry County Sheriff's Office say Joshua Shannon Haley, 33, of Martinsville broke into the building on Fairystone Park Highway in January.
They say Haley stole a Ford truck that belonged to the Authority and drove it out through a fence. He then broke back into the building and took a Chevy Silverado truck. The truck was damaged while Haley took it out and again drove it through a fence.
After an investigation, officials found that Haley had also damaged a third car inside the fenced parking lot of the Authority building.
Officials charged Haley with two counts breaking and entering, two counts of grand larceny and two counts damage property, all felonies. He was also charged with one count of misdemeanor damage property. He is being held in the Henry County Jail with no bond.
