Posted:

Pittsburgh - Lynchburg's Brandon Inge has signed on with a new major league baseball team.

Inge agrees to a minor league contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates and got invited to spring training.  The 35-year-old one-time Brookville Bee was released by the Tigers early last season, then played 74 games with Oakland before a shoulder injury ended his season.  Inge has been a jack-of-all-trades player in his big league career, he's played the infield, outfield and catcher.
