Two Franklin Co. School Employees Charged in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Franklin Co., VA - One of two women charged in a murder-for-hire plot in Franklin County will be in court Thursday afternoon.

Angela Nolen, 47, is appearing at her bond hearing at 1:45 p.m. She is charged with solicitation to commit murder.

The Sheriff's Office says Nolen paid an undercover agent $4,000 to kill her 63-year-old ex-husband.

Cathy Bennett, 37, is charged with helping Nolen to find a hitman.

Nolen was a kindergarten teacher at Sontag Elementary School.

Cathy Bennett was the school nurse.
