Colorado Eco Coatings are applied to a full line of electrical conduit and conduit fittings used across multiple industries and applications a safe alternative to PVC.
Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) February 24, 2013
http://www.coloradoecocoatings.com Colorado Eco Coatings __title__ Colorado Coatings recently introduced a new alternative to PVC building materials. These materials are created using environmentally friendly polyolefin-based thermoplastic coating. This coating is applied to a full line of electrical conduit and conduit fittings used across multiple industries and applications.
A few of the MANY advantages over industry “standard” PVC coatings:
Environmentally low impact during manufacture, use & recycling – so that you can be assured that the health risks of handling, installing and disposing of polyolefin thermoplastic coatings are extremely LOW.
No harmful plasticizers(phthalates), chlorine or halogens – which means no chance for toxic vapors such as phthalates to be released during the life of the products. These products are composed almost entirely of compounds of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.
Extremely Low smoke toxicity in the event of a fire - passes the stringent ASTM E84 fire test for combustible building materials (Fire Fighters LOVE this coating!)
"The decision to use our proprietary thermoplastic coating on electrical conduit was confirmed when the overwhelming evidence of its field effectiveness in similar applications was compared to PVC-coated products." Says Michael Schmidlen, President of CEC. His partner Jason Eckert added, "We saw this as an outstanding market opportunity to bring an environmentally-friendly alternative to the market that was UL-listed as well as both cost-effective & functionally superior to the industry “standard” PVC-coated products offered by our competitors."
As a result of this decision, they designed all of the tooling and a proprietary process for its application, and continue to automate and innovate by releasing new products on a regular basis.
