Jamey Singleton says he's feeling better, and doctors are optimistic about the progress he's made in the past week. He's had several surgeries to repair broken bones, and there is no word yet on how much longer he'll be in the hospital.
The picture, which was texted to us Wednesday afternoon, shows Jamey at Carilion Roanoke Memorial greeting his co-workers with a "1" and a "3" for ABC 13. He says he's still trying to get more comfortable with the keyboard of his iPad so he can begin communicating with friends via social media.
Jamey also sent out a short update on his Facebook page saying he's starting some therapy.
Many of you have taken the time to send a card to Jamey, and you can continue to do so.
