Union Wins City Hockey Championship

Posted: Updated:

The Union Redskins win the City Championship in high school hockey Wednesday night.  They beat Broken Arrow 4-1 at the Oilers Ice Center.

The game was scoreless after the first period.  It was a very physical game the entire night.

Union took a two nothing lead after the second.  Broken Arrow cut their deficit to one with a goal in the third, but the Redskins put two more in the net before the final horn sounded to take the title.

These two teams met in the first round with Union winning that game as well.  Broken Arrow worked their way back through the losers bracket to set up the championship rematch.
