Chatham, VA - More than 130 farmers in Pittsylvania County came out today for a cattle handling class.
The Virginia Cooperative Extension sponsored a low-stress cattle handling workshop at the Olde Dominion Agricultural Complex in Chatham.
Experts say by lowering the stress of the cattle, they can increase productivity.
After a class, participants saw some of the techniques put to the test.
The Cooperative Extension plans to hold more workshops like these in the future.
