Bell peppers end up scattered across Interstate 44 after a semi crash early Friday.

A truck hauling the vegetables crashed into another parked semi on eastbound I-44 near Town West.

The bell pepper trailer split open sending boxes of the red, green and yellow veggies all over the place.

Part of the trailer actually ended up lodged in the parked semi's trailer.

OHP is investigating the cause. There's no word if the people in the two trucks were injured.
