Oklahoma State's women's basketball team rallied in its regular-season home finale on Sunday, posting a 64-58 victory over Texas in front of 2,464 fans inside Gallagher-Iba Arena on Senior Night.
In the final home game for seniors Toni Young and Lindsey Keller, the Cowgirls (20-8 overall, 9-8 Big 12) struggled in the first half offensively and on the boards to find themselves trailing for much of the half. The Longhorns (11-17, 4-13) led by as many as seven on a couple of occasions before eventually taking a 30-25 advantage into the halftime locker room.
After the break, UT extended its lead to nine at the 17:17 mark before OSU began to chip away. The Cowgirls used an 8-0 run over the next four minutes to pull within one and retook the lead on a pair of free throws from Kendra Suttles two minutes later.
The lead would change hands nine times over the next five minutes before the Cowgirls used back-to-back layups to go up 55-50 with 3:49 remaining.
The Longhorns trimmed the margin to one at 56-55 on a pair of free throws before OSU pushed the lead back to five with 49 seconds remaining.
On its next trip down the floor, UT got a long 3-pointer from Chassidy Fussell to pull within two, but Tiffany Bias kept it a two-possession game with a pair of free throws with 16 seconds remaining. On the ensuing series, Bias logged a steal and a layup to put the game away.
Suttles led all scorers with 18 points and was one of four Cowgirls to score in double figures. Liz Donohoe (13 points), Bias (13 points), and Young (11 points) also posted double-figure scoring performances.
Nneka Enemkpali scored 17 points and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to lead the Longhorns.
