Head-On Collision Leaves One Dead in Botetourt County

Botetourt Co., VA - One person is dead after driving in the wrong lane in Botetourt County.

State Police say at 11:35 p.m. Thursday, an SUV was traveling west on Route 460 east when the vehicle collided into a pick-up truck.

The person traveling west died as a result of injuries and the east bound lane was blocked for about two hours.

Another person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The accident happened in front of Food Lion on 460 and Blue Ridge.

An investigation is on-going.
