Lynchburg, VA - A Lynchburg man has been sentenced to serve 10 years in prison for sex acts with a 15-year-old boy in Appomattox County.
In January, Phillip Nelson, 56, pleaded guilty to forcible sodomy and taking indecent liberties with a child.
Prosecutors say the victim was friends with Nelson's son and would ride along with them as Nelson made deliveries for work.
The victim eventually rode alone with Nelson on a few occasions, and back in April, prosecutors say Nelson got a motel room and forced the teen into sex acts.
Friday, the judge sentenced Nelson to a total of 30 years but suspended 20. He's set to be sentenced on similar charges in Prince Edward County next week.
