LPD: Working 'Several Leads' to Solve Rape

Lynchburg, VA - The Lynchburg Police Department released a composite sketch of the man they say was involved in a rape case earlier this week.

Lynchburg police are working several active leads after they say a woman was apparently raped at random on Monday.

Police say around 9 p.m., a man walked into an unlocked home on Liggates Road, beat up and raped a middle aged woman.
