
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) -- C.J. Harris tied his career high with 29 points and Wake Forest closed out its Atlantic Coast Conference regular season with a 90-79 win over Virginia Tech on Sunday.
The Hokies finished last in the ACC and will be the 12 seed in the ACC Tournament. They'll face either UVa or N.C. State Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Greensboro. If UVa beats Maryland Sunday night in its regular season finale, the Hokies would face N.C. State.
Devin Thomas added 17 points, Arnaud William Adala Moto had 16 and Codi Miller-McIntyre 10 for the Demon Deacons (13-17, 6-12), who shot 59.2 percent (29 of 49) to clinch the 10th seed in this week's ACC tournament in Greensboro, N.C.
Erick Green, the nation's leading scorer at 25.0 points per game, tied his career high with 35 for the Hokies (13-18, 4-14), who never led, trailing by as many as 24 points in the second half.
Marquis Rankin added 15 points and Jarell Eddie had 13 for Virginia Tech, which finished last in the league standings.
