Lynchburg - The LU WOMEN won their 15th Big South Tournament Championship Sunday and carry a 14-game winning streak into the Big Dance.
The ladies arrived home in Lynchburg around 4:45 Monday afternoon. They'll find out their NCAA Tournament opponent next Monday night in the selection show.
Brittany Campbell, FLAMES SENIOR (ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM), said "We're getting ready to go to a recovery lift now, a little bit of a flush and get tomorrow off and then back to work."
Devon Brown, FLAMES SENIOR (TOURNAMENT MVP). said "Sometimes I'm at a loss for words. I mean I love playing with this group of girls. And when the season ends I'm going to miss it a lot."
Carey Green, LIBERTY FLAMES HEAD COACH, said "This is the Liberty Shake. You know both teams are dancing and going to the NCAA. It's just great when you have a plan that comes together."
